Zurueck im Norden

Nach Pitt & Katjas unvergesslicher Hochzeit in Dresden sind wir zurueck im hohen Norden. Susi hat sich fuer das Wochenende direkt nach Trondheim abgesetzt, um die Ina zu besuchen. Hier oben ist das Wetter aber auch recht fein im Moment, die Sonne scheint und wir haben um die 15 Grad. Ein paar Impressionen vom Sommer in Nordnorge gibt es in der Diaschau zur Linken.

Gestern war ich mit ein paar Freunden Basketball spielen, es dauerte nicht lange und wir haben mit einer bunten Kinderschar auf dem Fussballplatz gebolzt. Es sind einfach immer mehr geworden und irgendwann musste man wirklich aufpassen, wo man hintritt.

So langsam ersetzen in Tromsø die Studenten wieder die Touristen. Heute abend ist eine 50er-Jahre Fete mit Swing-Kurs vorab angesetzt. In den kommenden Tagen und Wochen werden die Studis dann in Scharen die Stadt unsicher machen, wir sind gespannt. Auch auf Arbeit geht es weiter. Das geplante Projekt nimmt langsam Gestalt an und schon bald werden wir den Forschungsantrag losschicken, um die Moneten dafuer zu bekommen. Jetzt sind es nur noch etwa 7 Wochen fuer uns hier oben. Die wollen genutzt werden! Neben der Arbeit stehen Tauchen, Unterwasser-Rugby und nicht zuletzt das Erklimmen des beruechtigten Tromsdalstinden (1238 m) auf der Agenda. After Pitt & Katja's unforgettable wedding in Dresden we now find ourselves back in the high north. Susi cleared straight out to Trondheim to visit Ina there. The weather up here is no too bad though, we currently get around 15 degrees and a bit of sunshine. Some summer impressions of Northern Norway are posted in the slideshow to the left.

Yesterday I played basketball with some friends, it didn't take long and and we were kicking around with a scratch bunch of kids on the soccer field. They basically became more and more until we really had to watch out where to step.

Bit by bit the students are substituting the tourists in Tromsø. Tonight there is a "Back to the 50's" party with a swing course scheduled. In the coming days and weeks the students will croud the streets, we are curious. There is also some progress at work. The planned project gradually takes shape so that we will soon send off the research proposal to obtain the funding. There are pretty much only seven weeks left for us now up here and we're gonna get the most out of them! Besides work, diving, underwater rugby and last but not least climbing the famous Tromsdalstinden (1238 m) are on the agenda. We will keep you on track!
